There's no "Save" or "Confirm" or "Use This" button clicking Edit just shows me some cryptic settings that I don't know should be modified at all, but in a window that truncates the tabs for some reason. Oh, now that I'm trying to figure out how to just add the driver to make my databases work again, there doesn't seem to be any way to do that from that screen I showed above. Not what we're taught in school □ but this is the reality.īeta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback. PS: I'm sorry that all of my projects now are MySQL 5.6 □ but they're paying the bills, and this job is the most convenient for me. I think I was using this driver previously when things were working fine (mostly for MySQL 5.6 databases, only one was MySQL 8, and I only used that randomly for a few months). but, I need the driver for MySQL 5.ĮDIT: I'm not sure what the # column number refers to, it's a little too cryptic. When I clicked Database > Driver Manager, the only option for MySQL says "Driver for MySQL 8 and later". I saw nothing in DBeaver > Preferences to fix this. Now that I'm trying to re-set it up, but this time using MySQL 5.6 "Local Client", I'm in a maze trying to figure out how to just get this working again.įile > Properties just showed details for the currently-selected DB not useful. I ran into some weird Java errors importing a MySQL 5.6 DB to an existing local one, but I've been using the 5.7 "Local Client", and since I couldn't figure out how to fix those errors, I just ended up deleting the "driver".
